Perseus Monitoring 155 is a 19" rack mount device for environmental monitoring of a data center cabinet or entire server room. Up to 100 external meters (sensors) with 1000 values (variables) can be connected.
Within one 19” rack unit there are useful 8 RJ11 ports for external 1W-UNI sensors, 16 DI ports (dry contacts), 1 WLD zone input for Water Leak Detection sensing cable, and 4 relay outputs. Perseus 155 can be powered from 9-30V, -48V or from PoE.
The combination of the RS-485 physical interface on the Perseus 155 and the Modbus/RTU Meters API allows data to be read from third party electricity meters, UPS or air conditioning products.
Perseus Monitoring 155 has a WLD zone input and 4 relay outputs that can be controlled via the device’s interface or according to the value of a connected sensor or detector, for example to control air conditioning, ventilation or automatic doors.
Alerting options
A typical application example is monitoring temperatures in a remote warehouse with freezers. There are 4 temperature sensors (inside the fridge / freezers), up to 60m 1W-UNI physically connected to Perseus 145. External UPS with SNMP support can be monitored by SNMP (battery status).
Unit electronic equipment monitoring, storage rooms and industrial facilities. From simple high temperature alarms to advanced alerts (2 out of 5 sensors exceeded limit or are inaccessible, send the alert to a recipient according to internal scheduler configuration).
Standalone monitoring
- Email alert can be sent from the device (requires SMTP server)
- Internal LTE modem can call to defined number / send SMS message as alert
- Switching DO relay based on defined sensor(s) values(s)
- Perseus Open API is available (SNMP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, …)
Using Portal service (HWg-cloud.com):
- Email alert can be sent from the Portal (higher long-term reliability)
- Device Invalid (disconnected) alert is available from the Portal
- One value graph with short history is available
- Alarm escalation is available (email only)
- Remote relay output switching based on sensor
- Central alerts overview & management
- Free of charge service from HW manufacturer
Using paid Portal service (Portal providers):
- SensDesk Technology portal (SaaS or On-Premise)
- Email, SMS, Voice call alerts
- Multigraphs with several years of history
- User account API: SNMP or XML
- Reports (PDF)
- Multi-user accounts
Mobile App: HWg Monitor
- Android and iOS versions
- Device connection LAN: All HWg devices
- Device connection Portal: SensDesk.com + some Portal Providers
- All sensor values on one screen
- Mobile App can be used as sensor values display on the wall
