Perseus Monitoring 140

Perseus Monitoring 140 is a solution for remote monitoring on site with LAN. External sensors (up to 1000 variables) - 4x RJ11 port (1W-UNI) or 1x RS-485 (Modbus/RTU). Multiple DI / DO (relay) and a WLD port

Perseus 140 combines data from external physical sensors / detectors with data from other HWg devices connected via LAN. Local conditions, Lua scripting, calendar or periodic scheduler help to analyze the measured data.

Email or SNMP Trap alert can be sent from the Perseus device. Measured values are available via Open API (XML, Modbus/TCP, MQTT).

Perseus Monitoring 140 can be connected to the Portal (SensDesk technology). Together with the Portal it’s a powerful solution for professional applications with Graphs, SNMP and Device Invalid Alert.

A unique feature of Perseus products is the Meters API. Perseus can read over LAN sensor values from other devices (e.g. STE2 R2) and use this data for analysis or alerting.

Perseus Monitoring 140 is a remote environmental monitoring device with advanced alarming, local conditions and actions. It can be used to integrate all sensors at the remote site (telco room, industrial machine or warehouse).

Perseus Monitoring 140 combines data from external physical sensors / detectors with data from other HWg devices connected via LAN. Local conditions, Lua scripting, calendar or periodic scheduler help to analyze the measured data.

The alert situation can be indicated locally by switching DO (relay outputs), sent from the device as standalone alerts (Email) or analyzed & alerted from the Portal (SensDesk Technology) with Graphs, Virtual sensors, Device Invalid alerts, PDF reports or Portal account open API (SNMP / XML). Perseus device can also individually share all measured values via the Open API (SNMP, MQTT, Modbus/TCP, XML, ..)

External detectors (Dry Contact) can be connected to 4x DI (Digital Input).
4 digital inputs can be used to connect simple detectors (open/closed contacts), a WLD zone input and 2 relay outputs that can be controlled via the device’s interface or according to the value of a connected sensor or detector, for example to control air conditioning, ventilation or automatic doors.

External water sensing cable up to 185m in total length can be connected to 1x WLD zone port (Water Leak Detection).

External sensors can be connected via 4x RJ11 ports (1W-UNI sensors from HW group) or via RS-485 (generic Modbus/RTU sensors). Perseus can also analyze sensor data from other LAN devices (Meters API: STE2 R2, generic SNMP, …).

Meters API is a unique feature of Perseus products - reading values from external LAN devices. This means that Perseus can connect via LAN to other devices on the same network and analyze their sensor data.
For example, Perseus can read the temperature at the site from its own 1W-UNI temperature sensor, compare this temperature with the temperature sensor connected to the external STE2 R2 thermometer and the temperature probe in the UPS (available via SNMP - Meter API). Alert can be triggered when at least 2 temperatures exceed critical temperature.

Alerting from the Portal is recommended, it’s reliable for LAN, the user can be alerted if the device is disconnected (Device Invalid Alert).

HW group company produces a wide portfolio of external sensors - Temperature, Relative Humidity (%RH), Voltage, Current (4-20mA) and other sensors and detectors. Third party detectors (with relay output) can be connected to DI inputs.
Third-party sensors can be connected via RS-485 (Modbus/RTU) or as LAN devices via Open API (SNMP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT).

Alerting options

A typical application example is monitoring temperatures in a remote warehouse with freezers. There are 4 temperature sensors (inside the fridge / freezers), up to 60m 1W-UNI physically connected to Perseus 140. External UPS with SNMP support can be monitored by SNMP (battery status).
Unit electronic equipment monitoring, storage rooms and industrial facilities. From simple high temperature alarms to advanced alerts (2 out of 5 sensors exceeded limit or are inaccessible, send the alert to a recipient according to internal scheduler configuration).
